What is being done here is to try to pick out and piece together the threads of the work of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien that make up the history of the people known to the world as the Rohirrim. My name is Gársylfren and I admit to being a complete Rohirric Geek. Of all the folk created by Professor Tolkien, the folk of the Mark were the ones I most enjoyed reading of in the Lord of the Rings trilogy

    I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies created by Mr. Peter Jackson and his incredible creative team but from an understandable need to keep his movies focused, he did not give the folk of the Mark their role as written in the books.
